Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead! The Black Plague was arguably the most horrible part of Midieval age. The most iconic image of the Black plague, was the Plague Doctor. The long black, draping robes, the wide brimmed hat, and the long beaked mask. Traditionally the beak was filled with sweet herbs, to ward off "ill humors". And very few Plague doctors were really doctors at all. They were often charlatans offering "Miracle cures" to desperate people. A practice that still occurs to this day.
