The Grisly Gourmet

Now, most of you probably don't know, but I was a professional chef for nearly a decade, before my accident in 2016. I won't bore you with the details, but I was a damned good chef, and very good at butchering. So, it should shock no one, who my all time favorite cinematic slasher is. None other than our grisly gourmet, Hannibal Lecter. I've devoured pretty much every form of Dr.Lecter I could get my greasy mitts on. I was recently introduced to one that had previously evaded me, a musical parody of Silence of the lambs, called "SILENCE" It was none other than the inimitable @jesse_merlin, who played Dr.Lecter in a stage production of said musical, who clued me in, when I got the chance to meet him after a spectacular performance of @exorcistic_musical . He's absolutely lovely, and was the inspiration for this iconic piece. Because I'm an artistic masochist, this deadly darling was 100% hand smithed, from flat 18 ga. sheet silver. A doming block, a series of hammers, a chunk of 2x4, a tiny jewelers saw, and sheer spite birthed this movie monster. I'm really rather proud of it, as it is instantly recognizable, and makes me smile like a creep, everytime I see it.
I left it matte, with some scratches to give it more character. I could do a high shine version on request. I must dash, I'm having an old friend for dinner..... 😉
