Deadly Aurora opal coffin

I got my hands on some truly incredible gems, Aurora opal coffins. These magnificent morsels are custom made by a very talented lapidarist in Canada. The opal is safely entombed under a sturdy glass topper to protect it from misadventure. Pictures really don't do the color and movement of the opal justice. It's truly breathtaking. I did my best to highlight this beauty. A deliciously gothic, sterling spider web bezel setting, outlined in a secondary, smaller beaded bezel. Soldered on a sturdy 18ga sterling silver base, with a slight outline to further enhance the whole pendant. Blacked to perfection to bring out the myriad of details and textures, and then highly polished to a mirror shine. I am obsessed, it came out incredibly well. Also, the little extra trick it does? It has a secret image behind the opal, that is both UV reactive, and glow in the dark. This one one is a spiderweb, obviously. Now, I was lucky enough to score a small handful of these coffin cabs, with various spooky images on them. So, you have options should you desire one of your own. Get yours before the holiday rush!!
