Ancient Ancestor

So many guys always say, "No homo" anytime they touch another man, for some bizarre reason. Well, that doesn't apply to this neolithic novelty. It is *SO* Homo, Homo Habilis, to be precise. A distant ancestor to modern man, Homo Habilis lived 2.4-1.5 million years ago, in Sub-Saharan Africa. I've been a student of anthropology, Archaeology, and more, most of my life. I adore history, and museums, and I've noticed a decided lack of STEM related fashion. So, in light of this, I decided to make this antique homage to evolution. The skull was skillfully hand sawed from a single sheet of 20ga. Sterling silver, with a sawblade, roughly the width of a horsehair. It was then overlaid on a sheet of 18ga. Sterling, sturdily soldered, then blacked and high shined to really make the tiny details pop. The whole thing was then hung on a meaty sterling chain, comfortable, and commanding. I'm rather proud of this piece, it's perfect for anyone, regardless of gender. I can of course, render almost any species in this style, if early hominid isn't your taste.
